Dirt bike parks in Georgia offer concessions, accommodations and showers in addition to full-length and peewee tracks for novices and experts. A few limit themselves to racing, but most provide a groomed surface or an open field for enthusiasts to hone their skills. Georgia’s temperate climate allows for year-round dirt bike riding.

Near Atlanta

While the Georgia Dome (gadome.com) schedules occasional supercross racing events, riders in search of a dirt bike track must travel out of town. The Bremen Race Park (bremenmx.com) in Bremen, about 40 miles west of downtown Atlanta, has lighted motocross, supercross and pewee tracks for practice, and the track hosts racing year-round. A Place to Ride (scrubndirt.com) in Monroe, 40 miles east of Atlanta, is the home track of motorcross rider Ricky Pataky. Private lessons are available on the park’s one-mile motocross or peewee course.

South Georgia

In the Folkston area, Dirt Farm MX (powersportz.com) offers a one-mile track designed to be moderately difficult, an easy youth track, burnout strip and practice turn area. A small RV park has electric service and the facility has a bike-loading ramp. Amenities at the park include a bike washing station and an observation tower. The 205-acre Southern Raceway (southernracewaymx.com) in Bainbridge has two MX tracks, SX and AX tracks open by invitation, and a turn track for students. RV sites are equipped with water and electric hookups, and grandstands provide seating areas for race fans.
