Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix

The Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix, dubbed as the Animoca, is a three day event slated for October 14-16. Although not part of the Australian Superbikes championship, it does feature a big grid of juniors taking advantage of the ample track time.

The Australian MotoGP has been in hiatus for the past two years in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, a new lease of life has been lent to the event by Animoca Brands and its partners, Dorna Sports and Australian Grand Prix Corporation. As the title sponsor for the granddaddy of all motorcycle events, Animoca is in a good position to lead the charge.

While the Grand Prix is no doubt a major draw, the bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup also has a leg up on the competition. It’s been around for nearly a decade, but it’s only now that the big boys are starting to come to town. In terms of race action, the upcoming season promises to be a treat for riders and fans alike.

The Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle grand prize is certainly no exception. This three day event will be a no-brainer for fans of the fast and furious. With its location on the coast and cliffs overlooking the Bass Strait, it’s a picturesque venue to be in.

MotoGP at Phillip Island in 2022

In 2022, the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix will return to Phillip Island. The event will be held on the 16th of October. It will be officially named the Animoca Brands Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

Phillip Island is one of the most compelling and exciting tracks in the MotoGP calendar. Its 12 turns will create a high-speed racing feast.

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is located just south of the Melbourne CBD. It is a four-kilometer (three mile) loop that features twelve turns. During its 30 years in service, the circuit has seen several epic races.

The MotoGP competition is expected to include 24 riders from twelve different teams. Marc Marquez, Yamaha’s Remy Gardner, and Red Bull KTM’s Brad Binder will all line up on the grid.

While the MotoGP title has been contested by Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha, there are some interesting fights going on in the Moto3 and Moto2 categories. Enea Bastianini, Jack Miller, and Aleix Espargaro are vying for the title in the latter category.

One of the most impressive achievements at the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix was the Moto3 title won by 18-year-old Izan Guevara. He defeated both Dennis Oncu and Sasaki in the race.

Although it’s not as exciting as the MotoGP, the Moto3 is a fun and challenging series to watch. Known for its speed and skill, it features a 125cc apprentice class that has risen to become a rival to the bigger bikes.
